Team Parent (or Co-Parent) is required for each Club team (A-Team & B-Team). The Team Parent (or Co-Parent) is responsible for coordinating off-the field team building activities plus sidelines services to help the team bond and ensure players and coaches remain at peak performance throughout a weekend tournament. Key areas of responsibility include:
TEAM DINNERS
Team Parent (or Co-Parent) coordinates 2 team dinners during the fall and spring season. These events are typically held on a Thursday night before a major tournament.
TOURNAMENT DONATIONS AND VOLUNTEERS
Donations
Team Parent (or Co-Parent) coordinates the purchase and/or parent donations of snacks, drinks, tents and other team essentials at tournaments. Click the DONATIONS button at the bottom of the page for suggested items.
How to Coordinate Volunteers
SIDELINE SET-UP (Pregame)
Game 1 of each tournament day, set up sideline to be completed no later than 30 minutes before start of game to allow for players to place their buckets and personal items into the Players Tent and to grab food and drink from the Food Tent. May require those in charge of set up to leave the hotel earlier than the team. Volunteers for sideline set-up will also be required to assist in moving the sideline if change in field is required.
HEALTH & SAFETY PREPAREDNESS
Items maintained in a supply bag are kept at the Team Tent. Recommended items may include:
- Coordinating Team Dinners
- Coordinating Tournament Donations and Volunteers
- Coordinating Sideline Set–Up
- Coordinating Health & Safety Preparedness

How to Coordinate Volunteers
- Create a list for required tournament items.
- Obtain a list of all scheduled tournaments and dates from Club's website
- Obtain a parent email list from the Club's Secretary to request volunteers
- Email parents requesting volunteers to sign-up to donate items for each tournament
- Email parents requesting volunteers to set-up sideline before each game. This includes:
- Set-Up Player and Food Tents (see below)
- Set-Up Team Flag
- Manage the Food Tent (see suggestions below)
- Manage the Team Water Bottles (see below)

- PLAYER TENT: Set-up Player Tent at approximately mid-field on team's sideline; include 3 side panels leaving open side nearest Food Tent
- Place ice chest in Player Tent and fill with ice and water for headbands & hats
- Place pop-up trash can with trash bag inside tent
- FOOD TENT: Set-up Food Tent beside Player Tent; including 3 side panels leaving open side nearest Player Tent
- Set up Food Table inside Food Tent near front of tent
- Option 1: Food Table set-up during pregame and left unmanned during games
- Organize donated or purchased items like peanut butter crackers, fruit snacks and granola bars on table with uncut fruit
- Place ice chest beside food table and load ice, 8 oz. bottles of water and Gatorade; leave some bottles of water on table for players who do not like water chilled
- Replenish Food Table items as needed
- Option 2: Food Table is set-up pregame and manned by a volunteer during game(s)
- Prepare food such that everything is portioned to grab, consume and return to play quickly. Click on Food Prep button below for suggested foods preparation techniques.

- TEAM FLAG: Maintain and set-up Team Flag between the Team Tent and Food Tent.
- TEAM WATER BOTTLES: Set-up water cooler table just outside the front corner of the Team Tent, fill cooler with ice and gallon jug(s) of water, and fill Team water bottles. The bottles require filling after each time-out, at half-time and before each game.
HEALTH & SAFETY PREPAREDNESS
Items maintained in a supply bag are kept at the Team Tent. Recommended items may include:
- Skin care (sun screen) – spray and lotion with a minimum 50 SPF; place on end of food table
- Pain Relief (Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen); in a supply bag distributed at request of player with parent approval
- Lip Balm (in squeeze container); place on end of food table
- Allergy Relief Medicine; in a supply bag distributed at request of player with parent approval
- Deep Woods Off (bug spray); place on end of food table
- Scissors; in a supply bag distributed at request of player
- Nail kit; in a supply bag distributed at request of player
- Hand Sanitizer; place on end of food table
- Kleenex portable packs; place on end of food table
- Toilet Paper – not all tournament sites have indoor facilities; in supply bag distributed upon request
- First Aid Kit; in supply bag distributed at request of player with parent/coach approval
- Large storage bags (for ice in case of injury) in supply bag
- Sugarless Gum; place on end of food table
- Mints; place on end of food table
