Tournament Site guide
CGUC will email you a Tournament packet, which includes the address and basic schedule. Once we receive additional details from the tournament director then we will share this information. This may include driving or parking instructions, a tournament site map, tournament pools, match schedules and locations.
Tournament sites will have a tournament tent for administrative staff and swag gear / discs. Credit cards or payment apps are generally accepted. There will also be a medical tent on site at each tournament.
pre-game activities
Upon arriving to the designated playing field, be in uniform, change into your cleats and listen for Coach or Captain instructions. The team will conduct pre-game stretching and warm-up drills before each game. Prior to the start of the game, Captains of both teams will meet midfield and flip discs to determine which team first receives the disc and on which side of the field the pulling team will start.
A player may be designated to bring a speaker and play music during warm-ups. Music may not include profane, explicit or demeaning lyrics.

post-game activities
At the conclusion of the match, players from both teams meet on the field and create a Spirit Circle. The circle alternates players from each team. Each team's Spirit Captain names a player on the opposing team as the Spirit Award winner. This player best exemplifies the "Spirit of The Game (SOGT).
The Spirit Captain also gives the opposing team a Spirit Award score. These scores are submitted to a tournament official, tallied and a Spirit Award is presented to the team with the most spirit award points during the entire tournament. This award is equally as important as winning the tournament.
Before the next game, the team may be required to move to a different playing field. After the Spirit Circle, parents are encouraged to help move the Team tent(s) and supplies, then family tents and personal items. Players are to collect all personal items and ensure personal trash/debris has been collected and properly disposed. Typically there are trash receptacles located at each playing field.
