A-Team Assistant Coach

The A-team Assistant Coach is the second coach in the program active during the fall and winter, in addition to the competitive spring season. This coach is to assist with running all fall practices and winter league games during the off and pre-seasons. During the spring, this coach will focus solely on A-team responsibilities and assist at A team practices and tournaments.

The A-team Assistant Coach is the second coach in the program active during the fall and winter, in addition to the competitive spring season. This coach is to assist with running all fall practices and winter league games during the off and pre-seasons. During the spring, this coach will focus solely on A-team responsibilities and assist at A team practices and tournaments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist at practices and games for the entire program in the fall and winter
- Give assistance on team roster selections for indoor (evenly skilled) and spring teams (by ability, attitude, commitment)
- Coach and supervise indoor league games at least once a week, and ensuring other days of the week are coordinated with A-team head coach
- Assist the A-team head coach with all practices and events for A-team in the spring
- Must obtain a background check with CGHS (free)
- Must obtain a background check and coaching membership with USAU (paid for)
- Must obtain a a level 1 and level 2 USAU Coaching Certification (hosted by CGUC at CGHS and paid for)
- Must be in good standing with CGHS, USAU, and CGUC while encouraging good sportsmanship
- Must have experience coaching Ultimate, or other sports, and a level of understanding equal to or greater than the level of play for a nationally competitive youth Ultimate team
Hours/Dates:
- Spring: Tuesdays, Thursdays from 3-5pm from March 6th to June 8th (12 weeks)
- 12 weeks total, 24 days scheduled, 48 hours of practice/training time
- 7 weekends for tournaments, dates vary and are in addition to the times listed above
- $500 stipend
- One home jersey without number
- Lodging accommodations for travel tournaments
- All Friday practices are completely optional, but encouraged
- All tournament events are highly encouraged and desired, but on case by case basis can be excused
- 5 personal days (sick or otherwise) without penalty
- Experience playing at a competitive club or AUDL level
- Experience teaching outside of sports
- First aid training
- Experience as an assistant coach at CGUC
